The FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) strike has not petered out as claimed by a few reports online.

When we saw those reports, we called up our sources, who confirmed that the strike was indeed going on.

We also scoured through social media and there was enough evidence online to show that the FWICE strike was going strong on Day 2.

Infact, today the strikers took out a mock funeral procession of TV producer JD Majethia. He was among those who had claimed that the strike has failed. Check Out The Video:

Talking to SpotboyE.com FWICE President Birendra Nath Tiwari said that the workers have no plans to bow down. He said: "Since 7 in the morning, we have been at the Filmcity gate, protesting. The producers are just spreading rumours that we have accepted all their conditions. And J D Majethia has not spoken to me. No one has come to meet us or speak to us. Today, we took out a mock funeral procession of him. We screamed ‘J D Majethia Hai Hai’.”

The cine employees are represented by FWICE which reportedly has a total of 2,50,000 workers as its members. This strike isn't something new. Back in 2015, the same body had called a similar strike, demanding the same things.

Their demands include: salary increment, eight-hour shift, accidental and medical insurance. Back then they were given an assurance that their demands would be fulfilled and thus, they called off the strike and went back to work. However, things didn't happen as planned.

SpotboyE.com had earlier told you that Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati shoot was cancelled because of the strike. Bachchan came to the sets to shoot a special episode with Kapil Sharma on Wednesday and had to return.

Tiwari told SpotboyE.com that a delegation from FWICE will meet Amitabh Bachchan today to request the senior actor’s support for their movement.

“We will mostly try and meet him today. He is a well wisher of ours,” said Tiwari.

So, the FWICE is not giving up its fight. We will bring you the updates from Day 3 of the strike tomorrow.
